Our client, a FTSE 150 engineering/manufacturing company now seeks to recruit an Assistant Secretary to report directly to the Deputy Company Secretary. Working closely with her you will be able to get involved in a wide variety of plc matters and learn and develop your career working with a highly experienced professional plc Deputy Secretary.

This role will cover all aspects of plc company secretarial administration, Plc Board and Committee Support, listing rules, shareholder relations and Annual Report and Accounts, together with a strong focus on share scheme administration.

Skills/Attributes Required

  • ICSA/The Chartered Governance Institute qualified

  • Good knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and UK Corporate Governance Code.

  • A capable, proactive self-starter who can multi-task; highly organised, thorough, demonstrating excellent attention to detail, an appropriately persistent approach to follow-up with a rigorous attitude to data collection and protection.

  • Ability to keep calm under pressure and organise and prioritise workload in accordance with business needs.

  • Personable, discreet, confident, articulate and able to establish strong relationships with individuals at all levels of seniority and build own internal networks.

  • Experience of entity management software (Diligent Entities/Blueprint) essential and board paper portals (Diligent Boardbooks) advantageous.

  • Detailed understanding of all aspects of the management and administration of international executive and all employee share plans.

  • Project management experience in an international, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and fluency with PowerPoint and Word.

  • Strong communication skills
