This privately owned investment management firm is now seeking to appoint a Company Secretary on a full time, permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, you'll play a lead role in working closely with the Board and Executive Committee in providing a full range of governance and company secretarial services to the group. You will have the support and line management responsibility for a Trainee Company Secretary, who is very self-sufficient and experienced in the duties that they perform.
This role is likely to best fit a Chartered Secretary who is either operating at Deputy Company Secretary level or Company Secretary level in their current role. It might be more appealing for someone looking to move away from a larger team in order to gain more breadth of exposure, autonomy and responsibility of your workload. You will still need to demonstrate that you're a self-starter, have an excellent eye for detail and strong communicator; comfortable working at Board level. Financial services and regulatory experience would definitely be preferred in this role and working knowledge of Diligent Boards would be advantageous.
The working environment has been described as friendly, supportive and fair with a big focus on ensuring their ESG strategy is embedded into their investment process.
A very competitive salary and benefits package is on offer and the company are working to a hybrid working policy which is three days in the office (London SW1), two from home. A full job description is available on request.
