Opportunity to join London based PLC – an independent energy sector group as Assistant Secretary. Reporting directly to the Company Secretary you will provide wide ranging company secretarial support to the listed PLC and its subsidiary companies. You will get involved in a full range of PLC work including;

  • Share scheme administration
  • PLC work including Stock Exchange Announcements and Board Meeting support
  • Annual report and AGM work
  • Subsidiary management
  • Other ad-hoc duties

This role would suit a candidate looking to step up into a Assistant Secretary role who has the ability to engage and speak with confidence with Board and Exco members on a regular basis, as there will be a good amount of interaction at a senior levels in this role. The following skills and experience would be useful;

  • Practical experience, ideally gained in a listed company environment
  • Knowledge and experience in employee share plans
  • Excellent communication, team-working and interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with people at all levels in an organisation
  • Pragmatic and resourceful ‘can-do’ approach and team worker
  • Experience in using Diligent Entities/Blueprint, electronic board portals and insider project management software
