London (Liverpool Street)/Hybrid

Award winning, and rapidly expanding digital challenger bank seeks to recruit an Assistant Secretary to join its growing team. This newly created role sits at the centre of the secretariat and will bridge the gap between the more junior members of the team and provide more experienced support to the Senior Assistant and Deputy. This is a fast moving organisation, culturally still with the feel of a start up rather than traditional financial services, flexible and different - they need someone who will enjoy working in that kind of environment. The successful candidate will bolster the team at mid level, helping to support/mentor the junior team members but with enough experience to stand on their own two feet and take ownership of certain projects/areas of work in a self sufficient way.  This role would suit a candidate with the following skills and experience;

  • Ideally, CGI qualified (or approaching qualification).
  • Previous experience gained within a financial services secretariat function would be useful as would be some previous plc experience, but are not pre-requisites for an application. You will bring your first rate knowledge and understanding of corporate governance and statutory information.
  • Working knowledge of GEMS and Diligent Boards useful.

Personal Qualities and Behaviours

  • You will be an excellent communicator, able to build and manage relationships across all levels of the business and with external stakeholders.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail, able to produce documentation to the highest standard with limited supervision.
  • You will be highly organised and able to work to your own deadlines whilst also providing support to other members of the team.
