Our client is a global advertising/PR group and is now looking for an Assistant Secretary to join their small Company Secretarial team based at offices in SE1. The role will be offered on a permanent, full time, hybrid basis (3 days a week in the office, rest from home). 



This particular role presents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person with strong communication skills and attention to detail, to join this high-calibre Company Secretariat team in a fascinating fast-moving industry. We think this role would suit a confident and self motivated candidate, someone who can work under pressure when necessary, and someone who is an independent thinker, someone very competent with at least 3-5 years solid company secretarial experience.



A full job description is available on request but broadly duties will include;


  • Working closely with Co Sec and Tax Teams on all relevant group transactions 
  • Work with Co Sec colleagues to ensure correct compliance with Companies Act for approx. 130 UK companies
  • Assist with management of statutory information held within GEMS for approx. 1300 global entities
  • Assist in onboarding new companies into systems following acquisition
  • Co-Manage annual Legal Audit
  • Liaising with Notary re legalisation of documentation for various countries as required
  • Working with colleagues re ad hoc GEMS development projects
  • Handling ad hoc queries from group companies

The successful candidate is likely to have the following skills and qualities;

• CGI Qualified/part-qualified or alternative relevant qualification

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Proven ability to prioritise tasks (both team and individual) and meet deadlines

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Enthusiastic attitude to work

• Strong people skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• A good understanding of Word. Excel and the ability to utilise new systems quickly would be an advantage.
