The department is a busy part of the firm providing first class governance and company secretarial services to a large number of its corporate clients and LLPs. Working in in this dedicated team, you will help provide a broad range of Compliance duties including but not limited to:

• Maintaining statutory records.
• Preparation and submission to Companies House of Confirmation Statements and other forms.
• Arranging formation of companies and LLPs
• Preparation of minutes.
• Undertaking Companies House and other searches.

This is an opening for a Trainee, someone who is seeking their first company secretarial role and who is keen to embark on the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme (if not already started). A full study support package will be provided, alongside a good starting salary and benefits package. This role is offered on a hybrid model, this is an autonomous role and the candidate can be based largely remotely, and be attached to either the London or Leeds office as preferred for their primary workplace. The main requirement will be to attend in person for Board Meetings which are held 10 times per year. There will be other ad-hoc times during the year to attend an office but only as necessary/business needs – however you are in charge of your diary to arrange the work and locations. Expenses will be paid to travel to the office which is not your contracted primary office. There is no contractual requirement to be in any particular office for any set days apart from accommodating the board meeting schedule.

The CRO heads a team of 5 in the Risk and Compliance department. This particular role in that team will act as the right-hand person on all matters company secretarial. It is a small team, and everyone works together supporting each other, rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in wherever necessary. The CRO would like the person who takes this role to grow with it and the business, someone who will take ownership of the role - so this is a lovely opportunity to come into an existing role, offering the chance to develop and grow it on in a proactive manner.
