Our PLC client is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Company Secretary to handle a broad range of plc work. This role is a temporary role for 9-12 months on a fixed term contract to provide maternity cover. The role will ideally start before end May 2021 to allow for a robust handover.
This role would suit a candidate with the following skills and experience;
Ideally prior experience of working within a listed PLC environment.
Experience of e-filing at Companies House
Use of a Board paper portal.
ICSA qualified (or equivalent)
Active working knowledge of a secretariat software package (Diligent Blueprint)
Awareness of the UK Companies Act
Awareness of UK Stock Exchange Listing Rules
Utmost confidentiality and professionalism and awareness of cultural sensitivities
Proven organisational and forward planning skills.
Ability to build relationships at all levels, demonstrating confidence in dealing with senior executives and Board members.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
Developing technical knowledge through reading and attendance at training workshops
Interested in expanding knowledge of the wider frameworks of corporate governance in the UK and other jurisdictions.
