Latest Roles

Our client seeks a fully CGI qualified candidate to join them to head up their secretarial department. This role arises due to the forthcoming retirement of their current Head. The Secretariat team is stable and is well resourced - made up of 5 other team members – a manager, a senior, a trainee, and two administrators.

This role would suit a candidate with equal interests in the technical side of the role and the team management aspects. As well as heading the team - it is still a very technical hands-on role with a portfolio of clients to work with. As the current incumbent is in the process of retiring the timing can be fluid, so they can consider candidates who are already working in such a position, with proven team management experience, or they could also consider candidates who are a bit less experienced on the team management side -  wanting to step up into this level of role, as a longer handover could be accommodated in that case.

A full job description is available on request, the role is varied in nature and the responsibilities will include the following:

  • Management of the Company Secretarial Department
  • Setting company secretarial standards and policies for the firm
  • Overseeing the department budget and setting client fees
  • Responsibility for a portfolio of clients, both the provision of an annual compliance service and event driven transactions
  • Providing advice and assistance to other departments within the firm and other members of the Company Secretarial team
  • Providing training within the Company Secretarial team and the wider firm, as necessary
  • Other ad hoc duties in line with the role

This role will be offered on a hybrid basis, the firm has no set requirements, they tend to leave it to each team to decide what works best for that team. Currently the Secretariat team does three days a week in the office, with Wednesdays as their “anchor” day, the other days to suit individuals, but they try to make sure a minimum of 2 people are in each day, so no one comes into the office to find no other colleagues onsite!
