Our client is a global leader in its field, London Stock Exchange listed and based in the Reading area (hybrid working arrangement offered – only 2 days in office). The Company Secretary is looking for an Assistant to join and support her in providing a wide-ranging service to the company. This is a No 2 of 2 role so you will be working closely on all matters in a friendly, relaxed, professional and collaborative environment. The culture of the company is very open, bureaucracy-light and non-hierarchical. The C-Suite executives all are very approachable and work in an open plan environment along with everyone else, and you will be expected to have direct access to them.  People here at all levels simply roll up their sleeves and help each other out!

This role would suit a candidate already in an Assistant role or a Co Sec Assistant looking for their first step up into an Assistant role. The level of CGI qualification is less important than the experience, appetite and fit for the team/role, and whilst some previous plc and/or share scheme experience would be useful – it is not a pre-requisite.

A full job description is available on request.
