This corporate body is now seeking to appoint a new Head of Secretariat on a full time, permanent basis. This leadership role will be responsible for six direct reports and be tasked with managing the Secretariat & Governance function, responsible for all governance arrangements and delivery of excellent company secretarial services to all committees.
This role reports directly to the General Counsel but ill naturally have key working relationships with the CEO, Chairman, NED's and the Senior Leadership Team. As such, you'll need to demonstrate an excellent track record of working with key individuals at this level. A thorough knowledge of corporate law and sound governance practice at Board level will also be critical in this role. Management and leadership qualities are also highly sought after in this role, being responsible for a team of six and being required to lead from the front foot, ensuring delivery of a first-class governance function at Board level and ensuring the policies and frameworks are in place for this to trickle down throughout all committees and sub-committees.
To apply for this role, you'll ideally be a Chartered Secretary (ACG or FCG) with significant experience gained within a highly regulated environment. Financial services expereince is essential but specific (re)insurance experience is not a prerequisite for applying.
